Vernissage : 7th International Watercolour Festival (BEL)

Vernissage à Campo & Campo / Opening night at Campo & Campo.

Le vernissage du 7^è Festival International d'Aquarelle, à Campo & Campo (Anvers, BEL), fut une merveilleuse soirée. Plusieurs dizaines d'artistes et/ou membres de sociétés européennes d'aquarelle, venant de Belgique, de France, d'Espagne, d'Italie, du Royaume-Uni, des Pays-Bas, de Norvège, de Suède, du Danemark, d'Islande, d'Australie, de Suisse, ... ainsi que de nombreux amateurs d'art ont assisté à l'événement. J'ai eu le privilège de faire partie des artistes exposants et de pouvoir présenter mon travail aux côtés de grands noms de l'aquarelle.

Au cours de cette soirée, Bruni Mortier, Présidente de l'Aquarelinstituut van België, a annoncé les résultats du "Concours Jeunes Talents Aquarelle". J'ai appris avec bonheur que le Prix Schmincke m'avait été attribué.

Les visiteurs ont pu admirer les oeuvres de certains des plus grands aquarellistes internationaux et découvrir d'autres conceptions de l'aquarelle venant d'au-delà de nos frontières, leurs créateurs et quelques-unes de leurs influences. Pour ma part, cette soirée a été l'occasion de nouvelles rencontres et de beaux échanges. L'accueil des organisateurs et du public était absolument fantastique. J'ai également pu faire la connaissance de Shirley TREVENA (UK), dont la gentillesse n'a d'égal que son incroyable talent ! (voir dernière photo)

L'exposition se déroule jusqu'au 16 mai à la galerie "Campo & Campo", Grotesteenweg 19/21, 2600 Anvers-Berchem, BELGIQUE.

The opening of the 7^th International Watercolour Festival, at Campo & Campo (Antwerp, BEL), was a wonderful evening. Many artists and/or members of the European Confederation of Watercolour Societies, coming from Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Island, Australia, Switzerland, ... as well as a large number of art lovers attended to the event. I had the great priviledge to be one of the participating artists, showing my work alongside great names of watercolour.

During this evening, Mrs Bruni Mortier, President of the Belgian Watercolour Institute, announced the winners of the "Young Talents Watercolour Contest". I was very pleased to hear that I won the Schmincke's Prize.

The visitors had the opportunity to admire some of the greatest international artist's works and to discover other watercolour conceptions coming from abroad, their creators and some of their influences. As far as I am concerned, this evening brought great exchanges of points of view and new acquaintances. The organizers and public's welcome was absolutely fantastic. It was the first chance I had to see Shirley TREVENA's watercolours with my own eyes. I also had the occasion to meet her and she is as kind as talented !

The show runs until 16^th May 2010 at Campo & Campo, Grotesteenweg 19/21, 2600 Antwerp-Berchem, BELGIUM.

Het is een echte kans voor alle jeugde talenten aan deze kwaliteistvolle tentoonstelling te kunnen deelnemen !
