Adoration

Travail en cours / Work in progress

My current work is named Adoration. To paint the background, I used dry pastels. You can see here the first coat of acrylic colour which depicts the external shape of the woman. All further details will be added with, firstly, hard pastels and then soft...

Memories of Edale / Souvenirs d'Edale

Here is the final sketch for my next oil painting. I always use linen canvas because it has a finer and smoother texture than cotton. The canvas was first primed with three fine coats of Gesso. Gessoing the support allows me to paint on a smoother surface...

Is it any wonder ? / Y a-t-il un quelconque émerveillement ?

Yesterday, while I was painting, I listened "Under The Iron Sea", KEANE 's last album (which is very good!). The second track : "Is it any wonder ?" tells the story of someone who feels betrayed when he sees our world ... He tought he lived in a world...

La Boucle Rouge / The Red Hairclip

Pour ce pastel, j'ai voulu me détacher de la réalité des teintes afin d'accentuer la notion de contraste. Ainsi, le noir et le bleu font la part belle aux ombres tandis que le blanc et le jaune témoignent de la lumière et que les tons sienne brûlée s'associent...

Eveil, croquis final / Awake, final drawing
