Fleurs & Jardins : Exposition artistique (Maisières) / Flowers & Gardens : Art exhibition (Maisières)

Je suis heureuse de vous annoncer que je participerai à l'exposition collective "Fleurs & Jardins", qui se déroulera en février 2010 à Maisières (Salle Calva). Cet événement réunira peintres et photographes durant un week-end, du 12 au 14 février.

En collaboration avec "Conceptions & Magie d'Eau Créatrice", je donnerai une démonstration le dimanche 14, sur le thème "Aquarelle : La Magie des Fleurs en Négatif". Plus d'informations dans les mois à venir.

I am pleased to announce that I will take part to the collective exhibition "Flowers and Gardens", that will take place in February 2010 in Maisières (Salle Calva). This event will gather painters and photographs during one weekend, from 12^th to 14^th February.

In collaboration with "Conceptions & Magie d'Eau Créatrice", I will give a demonstration on Sunday 14, on the theme "Watercolour : The Magic of Flowers from Negative Space". More information available in the upcoming months.

On The Water's Edge (2009)

Je suis de retour du vernissage de l'exposition internationale "On The Water's Edge", qui se déroule en Belgique (Seneffe) et réunit quelques-uns de nos grands aquarellistes contemporains : Nicholas Simmons, Xavier Swolfs, Joseph Zbukvic, Marc Folly, Janine Gallizia, Stéphane Heurion. Plus de 50 oeuvres d'art y sont présentées.

J'ai également eu le plaisir de rencontrer mon ami, l'artiste américain Nicholas Simmons dont le travail a été récompensé à de nombreuses reprises, et d'admirer ses magnifiques oeuvres de mes propres yeux. Merci Nick pour ta gentillesse et ta générosité, j'ai vraiment apprécié chacun de nos échanges. J'espère que tu as aimé les chocolats ... ;-)

I am back from the opening of "On The Water's Edge", an international exhibition that takes place in Belgium (Seneffe) and gathers some of our great contemporary watercolourists : Nicholas Simmons, Xavier Swolfs, Joseph Zbukvic, Marc Folly, Janine Gallizia, Stéphane Heurion. More than 50 artworks are shown on exhibit.

I also had the chance to meet my friend, the award-winning american watercolourist Nicholas Simmons, and to admire his wonderful works with my own eyes. Thank you Nick for your kindness and generosity, I really appreciated each of our exchange of views. Hope that you liked the chocolates ... ;-)

Week-End Artistique de l'Abbaye d'Aulne / Aulne Abbey's Art Weekend : 25è/th Edition

Cette exposition artistique collective accueillera plus de soixante artistes qui se partageront les cimaises aménagées pour l'occasion dans l'Eglise Saint-Joseph. Environ 200 oeuvres seront exposées : aquarelles, pastels, huiles, acryliques, techniques mixtes et sculptures. Je présenterai deux aquarelles et une technique mixte, basées sur le thème "Personnages et Statues" : "L'Eveil", "La Joueuse de Harpe" et "L'Invitée de l'Hiver". J'assiterai au vernissage, le vendredi 1^er Octobre.

This collective art exhibition will gather more than 60 artists who will share out the picture rails in the Saint-Joseph Church. About 200 artworks will be shown on exhibit : watercolours, pastels, oil paintings, mixed media works and sculptures. I will present two watercolour and one mixed media works, based on the theme "Figures & Statues", these are : "The Awakening", "The Harp Player" and "The Winter Guest". I will attend to the preview of the exhibition, on Friday 1^rst October.

Vernissage / Preview : Exposition au Delta Hainaut

Le vernissage de l'exposition "4^è Promenade Découverte des Arts Plastiques de Mons" s'est déroulé ce vendredi 24 juillet. Soixante artistes se partagent les cimaises du Delta Hainaut et pas moins de 120 oeuvres sont présentées : peintures (aquarelles - huiles - acryliques - techniques mixtes), sculptures, dessins, photographies, ... Une mutlitude d'influences, de thèmes (paysages, marines, portraits, fleurs, ...) et de styles (figuration, abstraction figurative, abstraction) se côtoient pour la plus grande joie des visiteurs. Exposition accessible au public du 25 au 31 juillet de 9h à 18h (sauf les 25 et 26 de 14h à 18h).

The preview for the exhibition "4^th Discovery Walk of Fine Arts in Mons" took place on Friday 24^th July. Sixty artists share out the picture rails of the Delta Hainaut and no less than 120 artworks are shown on exhibit : paintings (watercolours - oil paintings - acrylics - mixed media), sculptures, drawings, photographs, ... A large variety of influences, themes (landscapes, seascapes, portraits, flowers, ...) and styles (figurative, figurative abstraction, abstraction) come together to the delight of visitors. 4è Promenade des Arts Plastiques de Mons / 4th Discovery Walk on Fine Arts in Mons

La 4^è Promenade Découverte des Arts Plastiques de Mons se déroulera du 25 au 31 juillet 2009 sur le site du Delta Hainaut, avenue Général de Gaulle 102, Mons, Belgique. Le vernissage se tiendra quant à lui le vendredi 24 juillet à 19 heures. Organisé par "Conceptions et Magie d'Eau Créatrice", cet événement permet au public de découvrir les oeuvres de nombreux artistes issus des quatre coins du pays. Exposition accessible au public du 25 au 31 juillet de 9h à 18h (sauf les 25 et 26 de 14h à 18h).

"La Belle Oubliée" sur / on Blockx.be

Vous souvenez-vous de cette aquarelle, "La Belle Oubliée" ? Elle est à présent exposée sur le site Internet de Blockx, célèbre fabricant belge de couleurs et auxiliaires Beaux-Arts, ICI. Cette aquarelle succède à "L'Eveil", qui fut exposée sur ce même site de mars à mai 2009.

Do you remember this watercolour, "La Belle Oubliée" (Ocean's Queen) ? It is now shown on exhibit on the website of Blockx, the famous Belgian colour manufacturer, HERE. It follows "L'Eveil" (The Awakening), which was shown on the same website from March until May 2009.

Printemps de l'Aquarelle : Vernissage / Opening

Plus 70 tableaux autour du thème de l'eau étaient présentés au vernissage du 18^è Salon d'ensemble "Les Printemps de l'Aquarelle de Libramont". L'événement réunit 39 artistes venus de Belgique mais aussi de France, d'Allemagne et du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg. A cette occasion, un catalogue illustré présente chaque aquarelliste ainsi que l'une des oeuvres sélectionnées accompagnée du commentaire émis par le jury de sélection.

L'exposition est accessible jusqu'au 1^er juin 2009, de 13h30 à 18h30, au Centre Culturel de Libramont (Avenue de Houffalize, Belgique).

Palette d'artistes : Nicole Zeimet (FRA), Catherine De Ryck (BEL), Estelle Royer (FRA), Martine Vanparijs (BEL), Monique Reifenberg (BEL), José Gietka (BEL).

More than 70 thematic watercolours around water were shown on exhibit during the opening night of the 18^th Salon "Watercolour Springs in Libramont". The event gathers 39 artists coming from Belgium, France, Germany and Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. On this occasion, a fully illustrated catalogue presents each watercolourist as well as one of his selected artworks accompanied by the comments of the jury.

The exhibition is open until 1^rst June, from 1.30 p.m. until 6.30 p.m., at the Cultural Centre of Libramont (Avenue de Houffalize, Belgium).

AEA : Salon-Concours International 2009

Voici l'invitation à ma prochaine exposition, le 39^è Salon-Concours International 2009, organisé par l'Académie Européenne des Arts. Cette exposition accueille des artistes venus de toute l'Europe mais aussi du Canada. Plus de 330 travaux y seront présentés : peintures, sculptures, dessins, gravures, photographies, céramiques, ... ainsi qu'un grand nombre d'oeuvres littéraires.

A cette occasion, l'Académie Européenne des Arts publiera un catalogue officiel "Edition De Luxe". Une reproduction de mon aquarelle "L'Eveil", qui sera également exposée pour la première fois, y figurera.

Here is the invitation to my next art exhibition, the 39^th International "Salon-Concours 2009", organized by the European Academy of Arts. This exhibition welcomes artists from several countries in Europe and from Canada. On this occasion, the European Academy of Arts will publish an official catalogue "Edition De Luxe". An art print of my watercolour "L'Eveil", which will aslo be shown on exhibit for the first time, will appear in it.
