Oser la Couleur ! / Daring Colour !

Notre dernière session du "Stage Couleurs" avec Roland Palmaerts est à présent terminée. Le thème de ce dernier week-end était centré sur les Teintures. De nombreux artistes peignent sans réellement connaître les couleurs qu'ils emploient, leur merveilleux talent naturel les encourage à utiliser tel pigment plutôt qu'un autre mais sans véritablement connaître la raison de ce choix ... "C'est juste une question de feeling". Ce stage permet l'apprentissage en profondeur des caractéristiques propres à chaque famille de couleur, à chaque pigment et à ses réactions une fois dilué ou associé à d'autres, ... ainsi que la mise en pratique de ces nouvelles notions techniques par le biais d'exercices spécifiques.

Pour bon nombre de peintres, ce stage est également l'occasion d'oser la couleur car ils doivent penser en termes de couleur et non de forme, en termes de valeurs, d'ombres colorées et de contrastes forts, de propriétés liées aux pigments et à leur mobilité dans l'eau, ... Ces artistes donnent alors naissance à de nouvelles oeuvres vibrantes et vivantes, et trouvent de nouvelles voies en vue d'exprimer leur propre personnalité.

Our latest session of the "Colour Workshop" with Roland Palmaerts is now over. This last weekend's theme was centered on Staining Pigments. A lot of artists paint without really knowing their colours, their natural and wonderful talent leads them to use one colour instead of another but without knowing why ... "It's just a question of feeling". This workshop is the opportunity to learn the characteristics of each colour family, pigments and their reactions when they are diluted in water or combined with others, ... in depth as well as to associate these new technical notions with practice through specific exercizes.

For a lot of painters, this workshop also gives the opportunity to dare colour because they have to think in terms of colour and not shapes, in terms of values, coloured shadows and high contrasts, pigment's properties and mobility in water, ... These artists create eye-catching and vibrant works and find new ways to express their own personnality.
